Training Objective

The Document and Record Management Training aims to build a comprehensive knowledge base for participants on correctly understanding and applying the documented information requirements of management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.). It focuses on document control, records management, and digital document systems.

  • The concept of documented information: difference between documents and records
  • Document control requirements in ISO standards (clause 7.5)
  • Document hierarchy: policy, procedure, work instruction, form, and record
  • Document creation, approval, revision, and distribution process
  • Record keeping: retention periods, access, confidentiality, and disposal
  • Document numbering and version control systems
  • Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and digital transformation
  • Document and record review in internal audits
  • Common mistakes and improvement recommendations
