Training Objective

The Calibration Training aims to provide participants with the core concepts of measuring equipment calibration, the legal and standard requirements of calibration management, and laboratory and field application practices. It addresses how to establish and maintain a calibration system within the framework of ISO 9001 clause 7.1.5 and ISO/IEC 17025.

Training Content

  • Core metrology concepts: measurement uncertainty, traceability, accuracy, and precision
  • National and international measurement standards: TÜBİTAK UME, BIPM, SI units
  • Difference between calibration and verification
  • ISO 9001 clause 7.1.5: management of monitoring and measuring resources
  • ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration laboratory requirements
  • Calibration planning: equipment inventory, calibration intervals, and responsibilities
  • Reading calibration certificates and managing nonconforming measuring equipment
  • Measurement uncertainty calculation — fundamental concepts
  • Maintaining calibration records and presenting them during audits

Who Should Attend

Technical staff in production, quality control, laboratory, and maintenance departments; quality specialists responsible for the calibration of measuring equipment; teams preparing for ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 audits; and all employees wishing to gain foundational knowledge in metrology and measurement.

Outcomes

Participants will be able to build a measuring equipment inventory for their organization, prepare and manage a calibration program in accordance with standards, correctly interpret calibration certificates, and present calibration records completely during audits.
