The Calibration Training covers the fundamental metrology concepts and practical skills required to ensure the accuracy and traceability of measuring instruments within an organization. Topics include the definition and purpose of calibration, measurement uncertainty, the traceability chain to national and international standards, reference standards management, determination of calibration frequencies, interpretation of calibration certificates, and the key requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. Participants learn how to classify measuring equipment, maintain calibration records, and establish measurement assurance within a quality management system framework. This training is designed for quality control technicians, laboratory personnel, production engineers, and all staff responsible for the management and maintenance of measurement equipment.
The Calibration Training aims to provide participants with the core concepts of measuring equipment calibration, the legal and standard requirements of calibration management, and laboratory and field application practices. It addresses how to establish and maintain a calibration system within the framework of ISO 9001 clause 7.1.5 and ISO/IEC 17025.
Technical staff in production, quality control, laboratory, and maintenance departments; quality specialists responsible for the calibration of measuring equipment; teams preparing for ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 audits; and all employees wishing to gain foundational knowledge in metrology and measurement.
Participants will be able to build a measuring equipment inventory for their organization, prepare and manage a calibration program in accordance with standards, correctly interpret calibration certificates, and present calibration records completely during audits.
