Process Management Training

The Process Management Training provides a comprehensive methodology for identifying, modelling, monitoring, and continually improving an organization's key business processes. Topics include the process approach, process mapping techniques, key performance indicators (KPIs), bottleneck analysis, and the process-based structure of management system standards such as ISO 9001. Participants learn how to define process inputs, outputs, owners, and resources, and how to leverage this structured approach to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This training is aimed at managers, quality professionals, and operational staff involved in process improvement initiatives or working towards management system certification.

Training Objective

The Process Management Training aims to provide participants with the process approach — treating an organization's activities as an interconnected system of processes — and its reflection across all management system standards, particularly ISO 9001. The training focuses on process mapping, performance monitoring, and process improvement techniques.

Training Content

  • The process concept: inputs, outputs, controls, resources, and process owner
  • Process hierarchy: core processes, sub-processes, and support processes
  • Process mapping methods: flowcharts, SIPOC diagram, turtle diagram
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and target setting
  • Risk and opportunity analysis within processes
  • Process interaction matrix and integrated management system alignment
  • Root cause analysis and process improvement tools (5W1H, fishbone diagram, 5 Whys)
  • Continual process improvement through the PDCA cycle
  • Process-based internal audit approach

Who Should Attend

Quality, operations, and process improvement managers and specialists; process owners and team leaders; internal auditors; and all employees working in organizations implementing ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or other management system standards.

Outcomes

Participants will be able to map processes within their organization, develop measurable performance indicators, identify bottlenecks and risks in processes, and conduct improvement activities using systematic tools.
