About the Certificate

The ISO 46001:2019 Certificate is an independent conformity certificate demonstrating that an organization manages its water resources effectively, efficiently and sustainably, has established a systematic management system to reduce water consumption and meets the requirements of the international standard.

• Water use inventory and management of significant water uses
• Measurable water efficiency objectives and action plans
• Monitoring, measurement and performance evaluation system
• Internal audit and management review
• Continual improvement mechanisms

Validity

The certificate is valid for 3 years. Surveillance audits are conducted annually; a renewal audit takes place in year 3.

The certificate is issued by an accredited certification body; BESA manages the process from application to certificate.
